A Brommie and a Valentines Day. Thursday 14th February. 10.63 miles, average speed 11.2, max speed 18.7 during 56.32 - on the Brommie!
D'oh, however! The one thing to look at before leaving home, regardless of which bike you are riding, is the weather forecast. Having been frozen to my toes yesterday I piled on the layers and flew out of the door. By the time I arrived at Hyde Park I was boiling over. Where had all these extra degrees come from? It must have been nearly double figures!
The activity of peeps in the park increased dramatically since yesterday. There were lots of joggers. Im not really a jogger, I don't enjoy it, it's not my thing. My only observation is that joggers always look as tho they are not having much fun - I often want to say "go ride a bike" as I breeze past but that would be wrong as just because jogging and running dont suit me doesnt mean they are not having a blast (even if they dont look like it!!) And I saw bare legs! Poor people with their Personal Trainers making them do planks and all sorts!
As I started my first lap I saw Mr Trackstander - trackstanding! Well after last night I now know his name - Neilson Cerbolles and he is not only a very good and kind cyclist but he is blogging here
Finally, given today's date l take this opportunity to wish you all a
Happy Valentine's Day!
